Hi guys! Michael here.
I have been keeping busy and taking advantage of this lockdown to write some more music. I’m actually working on a number of projects simultaneously. I can’t talk about all of them, but I am very excited to tell you that today I’m releasing my new song Rebirth II.
Rebirth I was a rework of Neptune IV, and this new song – Rebirth II – is a rework of Arhythmology V. So many numbers, I know. But hey, everyone loves some Roman Numerals 🙂
And, apparently, yesterday was Earth Day. What a great synchronicity. So let’s make this song a kind of Happy Belated Earth Day to you all! I hope you’re all spreading good vibes and love for Mother Earth.
The 2nd part of Rebirth – a compilation of pieces inspired by the changing times we live in
We live in times of great change. Many of us are anxious of what’s to come, but experience has shown us that no matter what, we – as a collective – shall overcome it.
As overshared as the quote is, the night truly is darkest before the dawn.
Just like the mythical bird that rises from it’s ashes – the Phoenix, us people will move into a new and better world, as these days we’re all putting into question the vicious cycle we’ve been accustomed to for so long: produce more, spend more and consume more.
Fittingly, Rebirth is a compilation which contains reworks of some of my previously released pieces. They have all been re-orchestrated with electronic instruments – chief amongst all being the mighty Absynth from Native Instruments.
Released one by one every month, the pieces are a prelude to my new album, which will be called Humanity. It’s still in the works and will be out in September 2020.
Put your headphones on, close your eyes, and let yourself be carried away by the warm pads and moving synths on a journey within, a journey of rebirth.
What else have I been up to?
I’m planning to revamp my social media a bit and post some more human content. I want put a face to the music.
I’m planning to talk about the inspiration for Rebirth, about how my new album Humanity is coming along, and about things that inspire me. So, if you want to be in the loop, just go on and follow me on the platform of your choice: Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
Also, Bandcamp – one of the leading indie artist online store – is launching a great initiative. For one day they will be waiving all revenue shares for music purchases made on the platform, so if you haven’t bought my music yet, and want to do so, this is a great way to show your support 🙂
If you like what I’m doing, please take a moment to share my music on your social media profile, on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or your favourite platform. And while you’re there, follow me as well, because I post a lot of interesting things every week. Links at the bottom of the page.
I hope you enjoy my new song!
